BEACH BUM

Hi
Today I just have a quick post that I am wanting to share with you as I am in the middle of moving, packing & unpacking with limited internet access so just going to make it quick. When I had the opportunity to take this photo I just knew that I had to. I also knew the minute that I took the photo at A2Z Scraplets would have the perfect chippy for my title. I wanted to call it "Beach Bum" and they certainly did have that exact title, I was so excited.

This A2Z title had so much done to it that I don't even remember it all.  It was gessoed, smooched, glimmer glammed, and painted, it was then given a nice coat of crackle accents.  Again A2Z chippy stands up against everything I put it through.  You have got to love a Quality Product!!

I hope you all have a fantastic day.  I am going to get my craft room set up today hopefully.
Don't forget to join in the monthly challenge for your chance to win some great prizes

New May inspiration from Irit

Hello, my dear crafting friends! Irit is here again with my  May   crafting inspiration.
The first page I want to show is a B/W one with a lot of colors added to this most gorgeous A2Z huge piece. I actually made a rainbow over it with all possible colors of embossing powders and it's a page about me: I live in straight Black and White life (no round corners and no grey areas), but I scrap and dream in color.
This page was published in SNR March  2012 issue, but as it's paid web magazine, I am sorry, I can't link you to it.
And another lo- pretty much  clean and simply and not so much my style, but this A2Z title was just perfect for this lovely photo of my son and his new baby, both so sleepy. I also used  2 corners for this lo.

And the last one- the title is a major part of this lo.
It's  very minimalistic page made with Angel of Mine title. I used Glossy Accents and a bit of orange glitter over it. The title makes this connection between the photo part and the bottom journalling part.

See your nest month with more and inspiration!

CHILDHOOD DAYS

I love having the opportunity to not only document our lives now, but to revisit and record important events and everyday ones too from when my boys were younger. I used the Little Toot collection from Kaisercraft for these 4 layouts-just perfect for those cute little boy layouts  ; the quotations included on these papers are terrific:)

Some new inspiration from Caz

Hi Fellow Crafters,
I hope all the mummies have had a super special mothers day today. I know I for one have enjoyed spending the day with my children. I have 2 pages to share with you today.

The first is using the stunning corner scraplets. I have coated these with Black magic glimmer mist and love the way they look.

The second I have used the lamp post scraplet and have coloured it also with Black magic glimmer mist and added a piece of gold shimmer paper behind the lamp to give it the lighted effect.

With that I shall leave you to enjoy the rest of your mothers day. Happy crafting
Caz

An Amazing Array of Scraplets

Hi everyone! Amy here to share some of my recent creations with some fabulous A2Z Scraplets. I am truly gobsmacked at how many uses there are for Chipboard elements on layouts. I just love playing with all A2Z Scraplets and  I have a huge array of layouts created this month but here is a few of my faves!

A Mother's Love featuring me and my little munchkin Mia when she was a bub. She turns 5 in 11 days nawww she is growing up too fast! I love to preserve these beautiful moments.

This title got a simple spritz with Suede Glimmer Mist. Then the hearts got an additional layer of Pink Distress Stickles.  I also had loose hearts that I coated in Thick rough Gesso then embossed with Ultra High Gold Embossing Powder.

Next up is another Beautiful layout with my baby girl Mia. I just love this photo nawwww.

The Banner has had a rough coat of Gesso and then paper flags cut out with some additional pearls added. The Title has has a coat of Tattered Rose Crackle Paint followed by some Distress Stains in Brown tones to soak into the cracks.

This next layout features a recent photo for a change LOL. We went fishing with the girls a few weeks back and the girls had more fun feeding the ducks than fishing. I just love the layers and colours of this layout. Definately a new style I hadn't tried before now.

I chopped the Scraplets Floralette in half then coated it with Gesso, Glimmer Mist then some Crackle Medium. Some added Pearls and Bakers twine added nice textures and details.

I just adore these sign posts. I coated this with a layer of Gesso then sanded it back so some of the bare chipboard was exposed. I then added a coat of clear Crackle Medium and some rough inking over the top.

Here is a view of the other half of the floralette poking out of the cluster.

This next layout is going up on my wall in my office as I just adore it! I know I am biased LOL. Although it is ot obvious at first glance, but there is lots of A2Z Scraplets Hearts on this layout throughout the cluster.

These hearts got a thick textured coat of Gesso and then various elements like Liquid Pearls, Lindys Stamp Gang Sprays and other mediums.

Another quick close up..

And last but not least is a fabulous bright layout of my youngest beautiful girl Chloe with her Hula Hoop. I just love the bright colours of this layout.

The circle Border got coated with fabulous shades of blue Embossing Powders. I then cut circles out of coordinating papers to fill in the circles. The starburst was coated with coordinating patterned paper and then the edges were embossed a little. Some buttons and bakers twine added more texture and interest to this amazing scraplet.

An altered A2Z butterfly

Hello everyone,

Mothers' Day is just around the corner - I hope all the mums have a lovely day and are super-spoilt!

For my share this month, I have altered an A2Z chippie butterfly.  A great thing about these chip pieces is that they are reasonably thick.  A soon as it is wet, you can curl up the edges and separate the layers.  I found this great for the butterfly's wings.

I used some of my Distress Inks and Perfect Pearls to mix my own colours for this one. It had quite a few sprays of a pinky/purply mix, and some slate coloured glimmer mist.  I carefully peeled the layers apart and left it to dry. Once it was dry, I added some foam tape between each layer to keep the wings apart.  A few rhinestones, and she was complete!

I added it into this layout and the butterfly seemed to perfectly match in with my background letters and tones in the photo!

Happy Scrapping!
