Micro beaded butterfly!

                                        Greetings A2Z Fans!

I have been trying to create a few projects once in awhile using some older stash in my scrapbook room! I created this Layout using a older paper collection from Prima called Sew Cute!
I love this paper collection because of the intricate stitching.
For this layout I did not add a photo because I wanted the focus to
be on the butterfly and the stitching!
For the A2Z Scraplets chipboard I used the butterfly1!
I love all the intricate design details on this butterfly!
A link for this product is below!
I used Recollections Microbeads in Ocean color.
For the body on the butterfly I heat embossed it in black.
To add more color to the paper I added a little bit more color
to the flowers going over the light pink.
The stencil I used one from my stash and used modeling paste and painted the leaves once they were dry.
For the letters I used color magic and added color with distress ink.
The word fly are from Tim Holtz alphas collection.
One day I plan on framing this and hanging in my scrap book room!
I love this quote!

Here's a close up of the butterfly with the micro beads and embossing.

Here's the chipboard Butterfly1 and the link!

Butterfly Dreams: theme set

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here again and this time  I made a lo with A2Z Scraplets most gorgeous theme set:
Butterfly dreams.
I had those lovely summer photos and they were just perfect for this set. I covered the chipboards with glittery embossing powder and added more cut out from paper butterflies over the frame.

Here is a close look over the chipboards.
One more to show the glitter coverage over the bare pieces.

Hope you like my new page and see you again soon!

At the Park

Hi there fellow crafters, hope you have all been having heaps of crafty fun.  Today I am sharing with you a layout of my little girl and her best friend.  Like most kids, my children love going to the park, A2Z have some amazing scraplets that are perfect for "Park" layouts.  I have chosen to use "At the Park"

My favourite thing about using Chipboard on a Layout is all the different things that you are able to do with them.  I had fun with this Chippy.

I have coated it in Gesso first and then once dry I have coloured it in using Gelly Roll pens.  I have fallen in love with these pens, they are really sparkly and I love that.  I did not have a brown in the pen for the tree trunk so I have used a cats eye ink pad to colour it in.  Before colouring it though I used my Prima distress tool and distressed the tree trunk a little just for a bit of added interest.  I have then given the whole Chippy a coat of glossy accents.

This is a close up of the tree.  You can see that sparkles in the green part, and can see a bit of the distressing in the trunk.

The layout itself I have kept pretty simple.  I have used a Kraft background, which is something I haven't really worked with very much so I am still a little unsure about it. I wanted the chipboard to be the stand out on this layout so have kept embellishments fairly limited as well.

That is my share for now.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have enjoyed my post.  Have a great weekend :)

Card using the Paisley 46 & Brickwall stencilet

                                       Greetings A2Z Fans!
Hope each of you are having a great week so far!
Today I created a card using the Brickwall Stencilet and
the paisley 46 chipboard! The stencilets and Masklets are a great
way to add background to not only your LO's but to your cards too!
Its a great way to add some fun texture and color to your cards,
 tags, and ATC!
I used modeling paste when I applied the stencilet to the card.
Once it was dry I added Distress crackle paint over the modeling paste
for some color and lots of texture!
For the Paisley 46 I used Creative Inspirations paint
that has some amazing shimmer! To finish the card I wanted to add
some more texture and color so I added the feathers and the leaves.
A close up and links of the stencilet and Paisley 46 are below!

Brickwall stencilet one of my favorites from A2Z Scraplets!
The stencilet & Masklets  are so much fun to create with!

The 2 piece set of the Paisley-46 chipboard
Love that this chipboard come in a set of 2 and many others come
in set of 2 too!
Many possibilities to use this chipboard on various projects!

My lovely Boy (grandson)

Hello, my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here again and this time with a simple baby layout  made with A2Z Scraplets wonderful round title.
This kind of titles  should be used AS IS: no paints, colors or mists as we want to see the words over it. So I just glued it on this lo near lots of other circles and make it consistent.

And a close look over the chipboard

Hope you like  my new page and will use those circle titles a lo0t on your pages too.
See you next time with more A2Z Scraplets inspiration!

Using the Wheat Stencil

As a farmer I just love all the farm related Scraplets A2Z have. And I was over the moon when they released a wheat stencil. I am in love with it and have plans to use it on many layouts.

This layout is my first one using the Wheat Stencil:

This layout is of my middle daughter at around 18months. Its one of my fav photos.

Here is a few close ups:

Here is the wheat from the stencil. After applying texture paste I lightly sprayed the stencil with yellow mist to get it looking like wheat.

Some more wheat from the stencil. DREAM (which was dreams but I cut the s off) was gessoed , lightly painted it yellow and when that was dried put Tim Holts brown distress stain over it. The Barb Wire is from a Fence Scraplet but I just wanted the wire so I cut 2 bits from it. Again the scraplet was gessoed, then painted black but I wiped some of the black off.

Love Love the Windmills from A2Z. So perfect for were we are as they are EVERYWHERE. The bit that you see under the photo is from the Wheat Stencil. Here is a pic of the stencil so you can see what I mean

Isn't a really cool stencil!!! I think of sooo many uses for it and just not on farmy layouts.

Here are the Scraplets I used:

I hope this gets your creative for stencils going.

Thanks for looking

Naming Day

Today I would like to show you a layout using the scraplet word 'Naming Day' and the Flourish Stencil.

Here is the layout:

And for a few close ups:

Naming Day was first gessoed, the I used the white distress paint from Tim Holts. When that was dried I put a coat of the pink distress paint, again from Tim Holts.

You can see just a little of the Stencil with the flowers.

With the stencil I only used a part of it. I added some glimmer mist to texture paste and spread it on. I then lightly sprayed the same mist over the texture paste while the stencil was still on to get the different coloured shades of green.

The layout is based on a sketch my Amy Prior for Flourish With A Bling.

And here is the Scraplet and stencil:

A Winter Wonderland

Greetings A2Z Fans!
I created a LO today for the June Challenge
Tracey hosted!
The challenge for June are the following:
At least 2 Winter pictures on your page
                                                 A2Z Scraplet
                                                 Texture paste
                                                 A hint of red
And some recycled aluminum isn't this such a fun challenge!
The aluminum had me stumped to find something because I wanted to find something unique or different! I decided to refurbish a round metal/aluminum tag. For the red I added the sequins, journal circle and twine, and the paste is on the snowflakes. For my chipboard I wanted it to look like ice since I was going for a Winter Wonderland look. After I painted it with Creative Inspirations paint I added Embossing enamel.
I used a heat gun to melt the embossing enamel and then I placed it
in the freezer to harden. Once the enamel was hardened I started moving
the chipboard letter to add the cracks.
Below you can see a close up of the crackling!

Here you can se a few of the cracks I did not add a lot because I only wanted a few. I only added  them to the dream word because I did not want to break the smaller letters.

Here's the A2Z Scraplets chipboard unfinished.

Not only having our daughter was dream come true for us but also that is the 1st time it has snowed on the coast in 30 years and it all happened when we brought our daughter home from the hospital! That made that day a little more special! It never snows on the coast! It was considered a freak snow storm that came from Canada with a cold front!
Thank you Tracey for hosting the fun challenge for June!
If you would like to join the challenge you have until June 30th!
When you join in on the challenge your name will be added to the drawing for a chance to win some amazing A2Z chipboard!
Thank you for stopping by the A2Z blog today!

A Christmas page using non Christmas Scraplets

I am back today to show you a Christmas layout that does not use a single Christmas Scraplet

Here is the layout:

And here is a few close ups:

This scraplet is one piece. After gesso it I painted it red. Then using Flourish With A Bling peals I stuck then along the bottom of the tiara

The bit that are red pocking out of the word Christmas is also a scraplet, painted with gesso and then red paint.

The leaves scraplet came with butterflies. But as I did not need them I have cut them off to use on another layout. I painted it with gesso then painted it green.

The scraplets I used are:

I used the 2 smaller ones on the layout

I hope this gives you ideas when you are looking at your scraplets and the different themes that they can be used for

Thanks for looking

Belinda :)
