military scraplets

hello hello
bel here with you this morning to share some more military scraplets.
i must admit i was a little excited about recieving these ones as they are just so easy to use.
i just had so many photos and ideas that went running through my head when deb showed me these.

this first layout is from when my husband was 18, fresh out of high school and joined the army.
with a close up of the scraplet

you get 6 men in the set and click here to buy them from the shop

my nest layout is from 2005 when my husband was serving in afghanistan.

i used the army title and the circle and star border
i kept it raw and lightly inked over it

well i do hope you like them and we love seeing your work so share it with us on facebook or put a link in the comments.
bye for now.

May Release chipboard

Teens, babies and in-betweens are catered for in this months chipboard release. MP3 players, ballet and babies.

Our MP3 players come in 3 sizes, use them as a frame or deck them out to look like your own player. There's even a set of earphones. These have been styled to stay stable while you decorate them, then cut away the support pieces (horizontal) when your ready to adhere them.

These ballet themed pieces are just gorgeous for a little girls page. Use some glitter and bling the tiara for a spectacular embellishment.

Until next time,

Bricks, birds and barb wire ......

I like to add a sense of humor to some pages ............... it's one way of getting some 'feeling' into a layout. So when we visited the Old Melbourne Gaol and had these photos taken it was just too hard to resist :) The pocket holds the information about the place with the wording of the Scraplet "a proud moment" used with a pun intended. Along with the "Birds on a barb" Scraplet depicting the security of the times and the old jail bird image.

Nothing more was needed than simply inking with chalk ink for a matte finish on the Scraplets.

Bricks and mortar again, barb wire and birds plus the 'waste' part from a circular Scraplet sets off another Jail Bird layout.

Close up of the birds and barb.

And to finish off today, something completely different. A sweet page using the title "Grandma's Girl"

Scraplets used can be found in your local or online scrapbook stores. Check out the website for more designs available A2Z Scraplets

ANZAC day scraplets

good morning everyone,

Being an army wife, ANZAC day has always been a very big day in this family.
It doesn't that i'm currently 8 months pregnant, or once when i have had a 2 week old baby, or that it has been -5degrees,  or that my husband has been deployed, we get up in the middle of the night and get all dressed up and go to a dawn service, have a big breakfast and sometimes watch my husband/their daddy march.

so when i was one of the few design team member to receive the military scraplets i must admit i felt a bit of pressure but i just let my creative side take over.

this first layout photo was taken in 2009, the first year that my husband (the young one) had the privilege to march with his uncle (next to him) and his dad in melbourne. all very proud to show off their medals (and rightly so i might add!!)

the scraplet i have used is Lest we forget

and i simply inked over the top of it so that it stood out on the page and added 3dimentional liquid on the writing.

my next layout photo was taken this year. unfortunately the kind random person who took the photo of all us was extremely blurry so that is why im not in it.

i have used rising sun scraplet

well thats all from me today.
i will be back in 3 days to share some more military pages.
i hope you have a great scrappy weekend.

We Remember....

They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old:
Age should not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them....

Today I have a few shares.

A very special one...

An OTP which features my grandfather was a WW2 veteran/POW who was captured in Singapore. Today I will give to my grandmother on this special day so we can both remember him.

It features this piece of chipboard:

I decided to ink and use metallic rubons to make it look old.

Here is some close ups:

I have found a little time to scrap a few challenges....

This layout was created for the Scrapbook Savvy April sketch.

I am loving all the titles that Deb has been creating. this particular title had 2 fonts, so I decided to cut in half to adhere to my layout.

Here are a couple of close ups:

My last layout I created for Show Us Your Stuff.

It was based on a pic inspiration.

I have used this piece of chipboard:

This is my layout:

and a close up:

Well I had a lot of fun creating these 2 layouts.
Hope you have enjoyed...
I would love you to join in this months sketch challenge...you still have time!!!

Bye
Kylie
