all i did was lightly brush my ink pad over the top of the title so it didnt ink it completely

my second layout is a pic of me at 40 weeks pregnant
using the title as time goes by

i just inked over the top of the title for this one.

titles are so easy to use. we would love for you to share your titles with us.

Remembering our brave .........

Hi, Deb here on the blog today. Earlier this year I designed some Military Scraplets and have been able to use them on a couple of pages of our trip overseas. The first one is an area in Vietnam where a network of tunnels had been set up during the Vietnam War.

I have used a couple of men from the set 'Army Men', a arrow from 'Arrows x 3 Small' and a piece cut from 'Bamboo 1'.

'Bamboo 1' is a long piece and I cut a section of it to fit the page.

The Scraplets have been painted and once dry, I dabbed ink black paint around the edges to give them a more scruffy look.

I thought the 'Lest We Forget GR' title appropriate for this next layout. We visited the Australian (and Allies) cemetery in Thailand where the remains of many POW's who worked on the Burma Railway lie. It is an incredible and beautifully kept lawn cemetery, tended carefully by a group of Thais. This photo is the plot of the unnamed soldier.

The keep with the feel of the page, I lightly dabbed paint over the Scraplet and then using a darker charcoal/green ink, edged the chipboard to make it stand out a little more.

Until Next time,

Hello....

Well its been freezing here in Tumut....snowing only 20km away.
So keeping inside and doing what I love to do in my free time is the best option and one I do enjoy the most.

Today I have a couple of shares.
The chipboard pieces I have used in my 2 layouts are in the New Releases and Special Release.
You can find these here.

I have scrapped this layout as a "just because"... because I can and did.

I have used these chipboard pieces:

Here are a few close ups:

Again...

I love raw chipboard but I have inked my title to tie in with the colourful background. Mixing the two draws "you" as viewers to look closer and adds interest.

My next share is a layout I completed for Anna's Craftcupboard monthly sketch.

I have used this piece of chipboard:

I have misted the chipboard first and then stamped with gold over the top to add a small amount of detail.

Here is a close up:

Thanks for stopping by today.
Hope you have found some inspiration from my creations, so you can sit down and enjoy some peace and quiet to create a masterpiece.

Bye

loving titles...

I love when I forget to open mail… I mean when there is lots of it… because when I find that one parcel that I never opened it’s like unwrapping gifts at Christmas. Somehow I put aside my Scraplets package that arrived a couple of weeks ago and it was then bombarded with more mail ontop … unopened of course… it’s like a scene out of a movie, so to cut to the happy ending … when I opened it I was overjoyed to find lots of cute little titles for me to play with.

I’ve created these two layouts this weekend and can’t wait to tackle the rest of my Scraplets mail. I hope you can find a little inspiration in my layouts.

Always Remember - I have used project life cards for layering as well as some music paper, fabric tape and metal flowers.

The Scraplet was painted with Gesso and then sprayed with Tattered Angels mist 'Mels Diner'- it was then blotted with paper towel to lift some of the color off.

Baby Girl - I used Prima stencil on the background of this paper and then highlighted places with a Pearl white Smooch. I have again used Project Life cards for layering before adding the photo, flowers and other embellishments.

This Scraplet was painted with Gesso and then painted with the Pearl White Smooch. I have used Scrap Dots Glue to adhere it to my layout. I have also used a small blank banner flag under the word. This was inked in two different shades of green.

until next time - enjoy your crafting week

Hi Deb here again and yes, still scrapping the holiday photos.

It's been interesting to see what the kids had on their ipods and I found this 'window shot' which I just love.

I've used part of a new set of Project Life Styled Scraplets on this page plus a suitcase, which is coming out soon.

The Suitcase is an engraved piece and I've painted it black then outlined the engraving with white gel pen. For some added detail I got the sewing machine out and stitched around the page here and there, even over the Scraplets!

A close up of one of the Scraplets, simply painted white.

Another close up, again simply painted white.

Until next time,

New Release Scraplets

Wow, life has been busy but I like to plan a bit of scrappy time as my 'rest and relaxation' once a week. I pulled out a few more of our family 'happy snaps' and put a couple of pages together.

The first one uses our MP3 Player frame which is symbolic as the photo was taken with an Ipod :) I colored the frame in with a paint pen. The title Crack Up which I inked, stamped and finished off with Dimensional Magic.

The next page uses one of our new release Scraplets - Elegant Beautiful Border. It's a very simple page as the photo and the title are the focus.

Firstly I painted the Scraplet with a thin coat of gesso - watered down to seal the chipboard - and let that dry. This allows the pure color of the paints show. I then painted it with a paint dabber, allowed that to dry and gave it a final coat of Silver Dimensional Magic. This isn't silver but has a silvery glitter in it.

Another close up of the Scraplet.

Until next time,

off the page projects

i have been waiting to show you these gorgeous boxes for about 2 months now (and is the reason i set the june off the page project challenge)as the scraplets were part of the march release, and im so excited to be able to say our new addition to the family has arrived and i have completed all my baby keepsake boxes.

i must admit ... i dont think im very creative as i simply cant create without a sketch so even though these arent pages i have used cardablitlies sketches.

i love these scraplets, they were just so easy to use. they are great for project life and although i dont do project life i love leaving alot of white space on my pages so small scraplets are just perfect for me.

i have used the months arrows
i put a little gesso on them and then have inked lightly over the top to give that textured effect.

ok ok so here are my baby keepsake boxes in age order of my babies.

well i hope that you have a great day
try to get some relaxing scrapping in.
bye for now
