This colourful layout i have used a heart border available from the shop. I painted it yellow.

January Dt Inspiration from Caz

Hi Caz with you today to share a layout I  have made especially for the a2z scraplets blog.
I have used the versatile scripty swirl scraplet on this page.
                                                           And for some close ups.

The scripty swirl scraplet I wanted to leave natural so i just gave it some distress ink.

I hope you have enjoyed my share.
Till next time
Happy crafting

Something new ♥ Amazing

My little girl is AMAZING ♥ She can fall asleep in a second. She just asks "May I close my eyes" and if the answer is yes DANG she is fast asleep. I so wish I could do the same.

The January  challenge is all about trying somethingnew and I had to think long and hard to get a good idea. Well I have been thinking long now to try stamping and embossing and then misting and when dry, wipe off the color on the stamping. Super easy and I ♥ love ♥ the effect. I wonder why I never tried before???

The stamp I just got as a gift from my dear friend Jennie, and I used clear embossing powder.

The papers are all FabScraps Retro Twist collection - brand new from CHA.

The scraplet is from the November release ♥ Love ♥ those arrows and banners with words - so so useful.

I added some gold embossing on both the scraplet and the edge of the page. I stole that idea from a page I recently saw at Camilla Ekman's blogg.

Scraplets used:

Now go ahead and join us in the January challenge at A2Z Scraplets. There are still a few days left. A new challenge will be up the 1st of February.

Hello...Hello...

My first post back for 2014......wow....

But I'm sorry my post is so late today. I have literally got home from driving from Newcastle to Wagga and back to Tumut...an 8hr drive in total.

But I did manage to find my Mojo again while away on my mini holiday.

Today I thought I would share a layout featuring "ME".

I'm the one mostly behind the camera and not in front. But a scrappy friend of mine, Jen hall, took this photo while at Camp Mojo.

I have used the Circle words:

and a Doodlet:

Here are a couple of close ups:

You can find both these chipboard pieces in the shop here

And we have a monthly challenge to try something scrappy that you would not normally do. You can check all the details here

So I hope I have inspired you all with my creation and I'm glad to have my mojo back again...

Tearful Goodbyes from Amy Prior - The End of an Era

Hi everyone! Amy Prior back today and as you have probably guessed from my title, this will be my very last A2Z Scraplets Blog post. I am so very sad to be saying goodbye but also very excited about future ventures and upcoming opportunities. I have been on the A2Z Scraplets Design team for so long now and with the change of owners and other commitments arising for me, I took the opportunity to step down (wipes away tears). I have a few layouts to share today for my last post...

For this layout, I have used the A2Z Scraplets Flourish 12 packet of 4 pictured below. Please click here or the image to view these flourishes on the A2Z Scraplets website.

The flourishes were given a rough coat of Black ink (by pressing the black ink pad directly onto the chipboard with light pressure) which left lots of areas of chipboard still showing.

I have added some Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Stain Sprays so you can subtly see the glimmer over the black inking and the fabulous colour poking through the areas where the ink did not get.

My background was created using various mixed media techniques including Masking with Shimmerz Dazzlerz Paint, Blobbing and dripping lots of Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Stain Sprays and then Stamping with a Kaisercraft Stamp and some black ink dribbles.

My next layout to share is a fabulous bright and fun layout created using My Minds Eye papers, die cuts and some Prima Marketing Flowers.

I have used the fabulous A2Z Scraplets Carefree Chipboard title for this layout which can be viewed on the A2Z Scraplets website by either clicking here or clicking the below picture.

To decorate the chipboard title I have simply sprayed it with a thick layer of Heidi Swapp Mustard Yellow Color Shine Spray. I just love how this has come out multi coloured!

My background paper had some very faint masking done. I have simply sprayed some Heidi Swapp Mustard Yellow Color Shine Spray over a 6x6 Starburst Stencil in the top corner where I knew the happiness sunshine die cut was going to go.

I have mounted the happiness sun shape onto some more My Minds Eye Patterned Paper and then mounted with some Foam Tape to my layout. I have finished off my sunrays by adding some fabulous Flourish with a Bling Mango Coloured Individual Pearls. Such a simple bright and fun layout.

Well that is it from me for now, I hope I have left with you some final fabulous inspiration for your next A2Z Scraplets projects. Thanks so much for being such fabulous fans xxx
Lots of Love

A CHRISTMAS LAYOUT

Christmas is one of my favourite themes to scrapbook.
I'm sure you have many photos that you took over the festive season that need to be scrapbooked. My Christmas 2013 photos still need to be printed but I still had some layouts to do for my sons' childhood albums. With sons all grown up now, it is always a very sweet trip done memory lane for me:)
These photos are of my eldest son when he was four participating in his Nursery School play. I remember the pride we felt watching him sing on stage with his classmates.
With our January challenge in mind, I decided to do something new/different - cut all 3 photos into shapes: 2 circles and 1 oval. This certainly challenged me as I like to scrapbook ONE photo and that is either a 5x7 or 6x8. I played around a lot before I came up with something I liked!!

Looking forward to seeing your entries!
You have till the end of January to enter.
                                                                     Happy scrapping,
                                                                             Monica

Inspiration

I am sure you have all heard who the new Scrapbooking Memories Masters for 2014 are - what a great group of women to showcase their stories via Scrapbooking. I bought my copy last week and there is so much inspiration. I am trying to find the time to sit down with a cuppa to give it another peruse.

Today I have put up my entry from the 2013 Scrapbooking Memories Masters. This received an honourable mention in the mag so you may have seen this layout before. It is called Gifted. It was about my two little people and how they both love music and play instruments.

I have used the Nested Scallop Square Shape on my layout.

I loved working with the Amy Tangerine line of papers and glued a contrasting color onto the frame then trimmed of the excess and used my file to create the white rubbed off edge that you can see in the photo.

I've also used the Amy Tangerine die cuts to help compliment the frame by layering them over the edge.

I hope you have a fabulous creative week of scrapping and I hope you have grabbed a little inspiration from my post - I hope you can find a use with the frames on your next layout.

Tracey

Imagine January Inspiration from Caz

Hi Caz here today to share my first layout of 2014 with you. I hope you all had a beautiful Christmas and happy new year. On my page I used as I often do a script title word scraplet "Imagine" I also combined the use of 3 different stencilets hexagons, hearts and I used chevrons from one of the mixed stencilets.

Here's a close up of the finish on the title.

The next is showing the dimension achieved with the stencilet.

Blogger is having technical issues at the moment and images will not load. So I shall do something a little different I will add the layout to our Facebook page and you can view it there and when Blogger is working I shall upload it here and some close ups so you can see it further in detail. Sorry about that. But it may make it more fun.

Cheers
Till Next time
have fun Crafting
