Gotta love holidays!

We're back from holidays and settling back into the usual work routines. While the memories are still fresh I started to do some of the photos that we took. Between three cameras, two phones and two ipods between us, there are a few!

Again, Thailand was a beautiful place for a holiday and the kids enjoyed many new and exciting experiences. No doubt you'll see many pages coming that will share our time there.

This page was a very simple one using Kaisercraft papers, stamps and die cuts plus the addition of some holiday inspired Scraplets. The Elephant Trekking scraplet can be found on our website now.

This next page is an older photo of our son and his 'tatt'. I've used an older range of paper from Basic Grey and some of the newer arrow and tattoo flourish scraplets.

To give it a bit of a rugged look I roughly 'splodged' paint on the arrows and stapled them to the page.

The circle of twine with another arrow attached over it, takes the focus to the main picture.

A close up of the tattoo flourish.

While thinking about holidays, I put a super simple page together for a challenge on using pockets. The photo strip is a long pocket and holds the leaflet and memories of our stay in this little cottage.

Netball, Out and About, We are Family ............

Hi Deb here again, sharing a few pages that I've enjoyed doing.

The first one is my daughter when she started playing netball. Herein lies the beginning of our sports line. I've also used a new Scraplet *This* and the netball title.

The next one was created using the title Out and About as well as the Chicken Wire.

The finish on the Scraplet is Tim Holtz Crackle paint, another product that works exceptionally well on chipboard.

One of the great things about the panels of texture pieces is being able to cut them up easily to add bits here and there to your project.

The last share for today is one of my husband's family. We are Family is a great title for any family page.

I have used Opals for the altered finish on this Scraplet. Utee and the heavy use of embossing powders is a wonderful finish on your chipboard.

Look for these and many more products at your local Scrap Store or Online shop. Check out the link to find a retailer in your area.

Til I see you again, happy scrapping

Dangerously cute

I made this page as a sort of "add-it-all" page and well it is no really my style LOL.

I used Scraplets Butterfly and flourish corner (LOL didn't realize it was supposed to be in a corner) and Flourish_48.
I sprayed the scraplets with gesso and after it had dried I colored them using distress ink. Then I embossed with Stampendous aged gold embossing enamel to get that rich gold look.

Supply:
Maggie Holmes Styleboard collection from Crate Paper
Stampendous aged gold embossing enamel
Teresa Collins Modeling Paste
Gesso
Distress ink from Ranger
AC Lullaby Thickers
Lace from You Do
Flowers and leaves from my hidings
Cardstock

1 frame 2 pages

good morning.
bel here today with 1 scraplet used over 2 pages.
cutting chipboard to suit your page is easy to do and makes it unique...but dont ever throw the other bits away ...you never know when they come in handy for another page.
i have cut the frame so that it would sit flat on the edge of my page behind the photo.
simply inked over it
here it is in raw form and the link to the oval frame

and here it is on my page

and a close up of the scraplet

and as i said i didnt throw the other side of the frame away i used it on another layout.
this time i put gesso on the scraplet and then inked over the top so the brightness of the yellow really stood out.

and a close up of the scraplet

(they are 2 different children too...lol...can you believe that)
so another 2 pages that hopefully give you a bit of inspiration to complete your page for our may mother's challenge. interpret it any way you like...just let us know how.
happy scrapping.

a little more creating...

ooh good old retreat time.. its the time I love the best. I pack up all the good stuff and go away to relax and create all day & night. I'm so grateful that my brain remembered to pack my stash of A2Z as it came in super handy while I was away. Here are a few layouts I came up with over the weekend... I hope you can grab some inspiration from them...

Beautiful - these days are long gone now but I have so many pics to scrap of my girl competing in gymnastics. She always made me smile as she was so beautiful and graceful on the beam. I have treated the chipboard with spray Gesso & then used Dylusions ink spray and blotted it with paper towel.

it's not me - oh my poor dog peppa - she is so clever and shows what she is thinking on her face...
I have used the & symbol on my layout and was pretty happy with how it all blended together. I treated the chipboard with Gesso and then added some brown watercolor pencils.

love this life - sums up how great it is to kick back at the end of the day and just enjoy watching the family and spending time together... I have left the chipboard  raw for this layout..

making every moment count - with the selfie pics in full swing and my teen loving the whole concept as she is doing the grateful 365 day photos I was caught on film. Love these new scraplets.. I have used the word Yummy. The chipboard was treated with Gesso, Tattered angels spray and then some beautiful shimmery Smooch paint.

have a fabulous week of creating

some older scraplets....

how are you all today?
bel back again to show you more adorable older A2Zscraplet titles.

here is my page

with a close up

(sorry about the terrible pic...its cloudy and raining so not a great photo opportunity)

this is the hip hip hooray 2 title in its raw form

i did cut it to make it fit my page and then i dabbed some gesso over it allowed it to dry and inked over the top.

now, this photo is just over 2 years old now. Because our baby was born at 22:30 i had asked my husband to bring the kids up the morning after he was born but before our daughter had to go to school, so its the first photo we have of our new little family.

i have used the a2z scraplets picture frame 17

this is how my page turned out.

with a close up

i put a little gesso on it and then sprayed it with glimmermist while wet.
i then added a few little stitches with some twine and put a little cluster of flowers in between the other flowers on the frame.

what do you do to your scraplets?
