Love these memories

HI, Donna here with my first post for 2016
I have used the brand new chipboard title that is already BLACK!! Yes, cut from
a new ebony coloured material, Love these memories, so cuts down your inking/misting time.
Great for me because i use a lot of black on my titles
Here is a closeup of the title
I have also used a new Love arrow in a burgandy colour chipboard
This will be available in the next A2Z release along with more pieces.
And lots of Kaisercraft papers and matching embellies

Anniversary Escape

Hi, Deb here with you again today. I thought I'd share a page I did of a little place we went to for our wedding anniversary. We try to organize our holidays around that time of year to celebrate a very special day.

I have used the Anniversary Escape title and simply colored it, added dimensional paint and sprinkled a little bit of chunky glitter on.

This gorgeous embellishment was made by our DT member, Lauren. She makes the most gorgeous chipboard embellishments that are just beautiful for special cards or pages.

Happy Australia Day and woohoo, Stencils are back!

Hi, Deb here on the blog today.
Well, what better way to celebrate Australia Day than with a trip up the river, camping, fishing and if the weather is suitable, some toasted marshmallows! We're lucky, we don't have to go far to the mighty Murray River so we try to do it as much as possible.

My share today is from a little while ago and marginally cooler weather. After a day of gathering wood, fishing, cooking, eating and more fishing, some yummy, gooey, toasted marshmallows are the go. The title Happy Campers really says it all.

I have used one of A2Z Scraplets stencils which have been released on the website. These are made of a strong plastic and can be used over and over and over ....... and over again. It has simply been misted to give some visual texture to the page. Also symbolizes the condition of some of the marshmallows - burnt!

Here's a close up of the title. Colored red using chalk ink and then outlined with black permanent marker.

And a little extra bit of chipboard embellishment with the @camping word.

Materials used:
Bella papers
Chalkboard Mist
Chalk Ink
Permanent Marker
Flair

My next share is a page that all parents will relate to. Back to school! Not long to go and all our little treasures will be back in those classrooms, noses down, working their little butts off .......... after they have caught up with all their friends of course.

I love how this frame came up. I coloured it with a black permanent marker leaving the engraved areas for colouring with gel pens.

If you enjoy the latest craze - colouring - then give it a go on your chipboard. We are introducing a white range for this very reason. (this frame was regular raw chipboard)

Looking Back

Hi. Its Kerry here today to share with you 3 of my favourite layouts from the other design team members here from this year. Now I would say that is one of the hardest things to have to do. There are so many gorgeous layouts on the blog. I ended up picking a month from last year and took it from there, lol.

First one from Carolyn. I loved the way she has coloured her title. I haven't done a two toned title like this and it is on my to do list. Love the dots on there as well. I was also taken in by the shells on her layout.

The next layout I chose was from Karen. She has used my favourite colour which really stood out to me. I love all the yellow and the heart chippy. What a gorgeous cat too.

And I definetly couldn't go past this layout by Donna. Love the background and the way she has used the chipboard circle to highlight her photo.

Well that's all from me now. Im off to work on some new A2Z Scraplet designs!!!

Thanks for reading
Kerry xx

Karyn's DT member favourites from 2015!

Hi there! How are you all going with your New Year resolutions? Did you make any, or are you just flying by the seat of your pants and hoping for the best like me?

Each of us were asked to make a post of our 3 favourite posts from the rest of the Design Team. Well, I'm sorry but I just couldn't choose three! So, instead I chose (with much difficulty) just one that love from each member! It was sooo hard, because I love everything they've created, and I'm so thrilled to be part of such an amazing team.

So here goes... and you tell me, could YOU have chosen only 3???

First up, I have the lovely Kerry with her beautiful layout titled ME. Kerry used the very funky Circle Hash Texture Shape and kept it raw. I love using raw chippies, sometimes they just don't need any extra decoration! Thanks for sharing this layout with us, Kerry. It's beautiful.

Secondly is my lovely friend, Lauren. Lauren and the super cute Theodore Teddy Brown created this stunning card using one of my favourite chippies... the Brick Works set, which has been painted shabby white. White goes with everything! Thanks for sharing, Lauren and Teddy!

Next up, is this super cool Beach Bums layout, by Caz, There is so much awesomeness on this layout to draw your eyes around the page. In particular, the thing I love about it is the way Caz has decorated the Beach Bums Corner Word. She sprayed half of the words with blue mist, the other half with green mist, and the shells in gold mist. She then added diamond glaze over the top of the shells and spotted the glaze over the words. Gorgeous effect, thanks for sharing, Caz!

Onto this super cute layout about her adorable puppy by Donna, using the Dogs Leave Pawprints on our Hearts and the Nested Triangles scraplets. Both chippies were coloured black, and the pawprints were inked Gold. I love creating layouts of my precious furbabies too, Donna! Thanks for sharing!

Next is Kylie with this incredible layout using the I Love This Life and Double Scribble Hearts scraplets. There is nothing I don't love about this layout. The clusters are beautiful, and the Scribble Hearts scraplets are some of my favourites! So much texture and gorgeous things to look at, thanks Kylie!

Lasty I'd like to share this layout from Deb - the owner of this amazing company we all get to be a part of, doing what we love most - creating fabulous masterpieces! Deb, I'd like to take this opportunity to say thank you. Thank you for believing in me and supporting me through everything and being the wonderful person you are. Oh, and of course for providing me with such beautiful pretties to create with! Love you Deb, and I'm honoured to call you my friend :)

Ok, now that the sucking up is done heeheehee, Deb created this layout using the Industrial Corner scraplet and the Lovely scraplet. The Industrial Corner was painted yellow, dabbed with black and misted with a spritzer which gave it a gorgeous grungy effect. The word Hello was coloured with a gel pen - one of my most favourite tools! All together it makes a marvellous grungy boy layout, thanks Deb!

So there you have it. Admit it, you couldn't have chosen just 3 either! I love the team I work with!
Wishing you all the most incredible start to the year, and I can't wait to see what masterpieces you create. Remember to share your creations on our Facebook page here so we can all rave about them too!

Best wishes to you all. And until next time, keep calm and craft on!

Delicious!

Hi Deb here today.

Oh, do I like food. Most food but especially Thai and Vietnamese Food. Thankfully my husband does too because I cook it quite a bit. Our holidays tend to be a bit of a foodie taste trail and a gathering of recipes.

This page represents the wonderful selection of meals we ate at a delightful little beach restaurant in Koh Samui.

Below is a close up of the title Delicious which I colored with gel pens.

The Thai Food Circle word I left mostly raw and just colored the bowl. Again, using gel pens. When it comes to the best types of pens to use I have found that many of the cheaper 'supermarket' or 'department store' brands quite adequate. In fact my favourites are actually Aldi's metallic gel pens. With the advent of the coloring craze at present there are a huge range of all sorts of pens on the marker. Experiment - you may find some very pleasant surprises in the finishes achieved.

A photo is a moment captured ...

How true is that!

Hi, Deb here with you today. Over the holidays I've managed to scrap a few pages which is nice. This page is of my daughter ready for her first formal in Year 9.

I made the background paper using watercolour paper and mists. Once dry, I then went over it with our Honeycomb Stencil by simply tracing the shapes randomly over the page.

The chipboard title 'A photo is a moment captured' is coloured using a gold paint pen for a rich and definite gold colour.

Another closeup showing the chipboard, paper and stencilled background.

Little bits of bling everywhere.
